Passive membership

Postby WFF-Admin » Thu May 31, 2012 12:23 am

Here at WFF we obviously welcome any new member to the family. But we don't really understand why some people register, and never post nor comment. Besides access to the discussion forums, there's nothing to gain from registering, as oppose to simply being a guest visitor... unless you are active. Active members have priviledges and access to features that are unavailable for inactive/passive members.

The problem with passive members is that, the more members we get, it becomes all the more difficult to keep track of non-human members ("sleeper" spambots).

For this reason we reserve the right to (and we will, eventually) terminate any profile regarded as "passive", i.e. a member with no posts or logins within a certain period of time.

The first "purge" is coming up, so if you read this and still haven't made a single post or comment, maybe now is the time...

Final call... if you are a registered, but inactive/passive member, ie. you have not logged in, posted or commented on anything for three months or more, your membership will be terminated by July 1st, as for the reasons stated above, and per the forum rules.

This apply to 15 (yes, fifteen) members. Some of these haven't logged in for six months so it's fair to asume they won't be missed.

EDIT: done.

We have a new purge comin' up. Currently nine (9) registered users will be terminated within the next few days, if they don't log in. Just sayin'....
